The Song of Songs (also known as Song of Solomon) is beautiful. It works as an allegory, poetry, inspiration, and instruction all at the same time.
As often as I’ve read the book, I recently realized that I had never studied it. It’s past time that I did, and you’re invited to join me!
I’m not an expert, and I’ll be learning right along with everyone else. We’ll be able to share our thoughts about the Song of Songs, and we’ll take a look at what Bible scholars have to say.
Details
The Song of Songs study will take place in my Honeycomb & Spice community for wives. We will start on June 14 and take one or two weeks per chapter. The study will last as long as it takes us. We won’t be meeting in real time, so no matter what kind of schedule you have, you can decide what days and times to post your own thoughts. Our discussion will be saved so others can join later on and add their own thoughts.
Honeycomb & Spice Community
Membership in the Honeycomb & Spice community is a paid subscription, but there is no additional charge for the study circle.
On that note, this is the perfect time to join the community. Beginning June 14, community membership will be $9.99/month or $99.99/year. There is also a new lifetime membership for $459.99. Learn more by clicking the button below.
If you have questions about the study or the community, you can ask in the comments or email me at chris@honeycombspice.com.

I am a husband and obviously will not be behind the paywall for this one. Your announcement renewed an interest I have in one question about the book.
What is to be made of the book’s progression and chronology?
The wedding is described in Chapter 3:6-11 so Chapter 4 is all good. Regarding pre-marital sex, 2:7 & 3:5 were quoted in youth group more than I can count. Yet my youth pastor never quoted 2:3-6 or 3:4. SoS 1:4 could be an introduction written well into the marriage, but not 2:3-6 or 3:4.
Your community will be blessed by an in-depth study of this book.
We’ll be learning as we go, so I don’t yet know what we will have to say about the chronology. We’ll definitely talk about it, though.
